Gisele Shaw: My Ability To Do Everything Is An Asset
Gisele Shaw has always wanted to be an all around wrestler.
Known for her ability to adapt to different styles and traits in the ring, Shaw is widely considered to be one of the best free agents in the world of wrestling.
In a new interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, ‘The Quintessential Diva’ said that she has always wanted to be a versatile in-ring performer.
“I think that when I started wrestling, I’ve always wanted to be like, ‘Hey, I wanna be an all around wrestler,’ right? I love storytelling and every wrestler is different. They can offer something different, they have different styles. For me, my ability to be able to do everything is an asset. So I’ve always wanted to be that since the beginning. So I was like, ‘I want to be a high flyer. I want to be strong.’ Maybe not the strong girl because I’m like, ‘I don’t think I’m that strong.’ Like technical wrestlers, submissionists, all this stuff. So it’s like, I feel like when I was training, it’s like, ‘Okay, I’m going take a little bit of everything,’ because, like I said, when you get in a ring and then you go, storytelling wise, if someone’s there that’s strong, why would I want to be strong? Why wouldn’t I outsmart them? I’m trying to win a competition here, darling. So then you try other skills per se.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Shaw spoke about her desire to return to Japan. Her full comments can be found by clicking here.
