Goldberg Comments On His WWE Hall Of Fame Induction, And The Feeling Of Knowing His Son Was Able To See Him Wrestle

The soon-to-be WWE Hall Of Famer is making another transition to a TV show/movie role.

In three weeks former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg will be securing his spot amongst WWE's best when he is inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania weekend. Goldberg was last seen on live WWE programming when he gave his farewell speech to the WWE Universe the night after WrestleMania 33.

While speaking with The Associated Press, Goldberg shared that he will have a role in the TV show; 'The Goldbergs', playing a character by the name of 'Nick Mellor'. Although Goldberg is heading into the WWE Hall Of Fame, he did not leave out a possible return to in-ring action.

“Do I want to roll the dice again? I don’t know,” Goldberg said. “I’ll quote one of the most famous movies that I was ever in, ‘Santa’s Slay’: It ain’t over ’til I say it’s over.”

The night after WrestleMania 33, Goldberg brought his son Gage inside the ring so that he could watch his dad deliver a speech from the heart; thanking the WWE Universe for allowing him a second chance.

"The angle was real and it was touching and it was true. I kind of left it all out there, it was a cleansing experience,” Goldberg said. “I owe it all to Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar. They gave me the opportunity to be one of the coolest dads in the world and they didn’t have to do that.”

On April 6th at the Smoothie King Center, Goldberg will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame. He will be joining the likes of: Mark Henry, Hillbilly Jim, 'Warrior Award' recipient Jarrius "JJ" Robertson, Kid Rock, Jeff Jarrett, Ivory, and The Dudley Boyz. The former World Heavyweight Champion is just thankful that the WWE faithful welcomed him back with open arms.

"Thankfully for the people that didn’t forget about me, they welcomed me with open arms."
