Goldberg Says He Needs Shoulder Surgery, But He'll Have It Done When He's 'Finished'

Goldberg hasn't been seen since defeating Bobby Lashley at WWE Crown Jewel, but he's ready to return if called.

Goldberg has wrestled three times in 2021, losing to Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble, losing to Lashley at SummerSlam via referee stoppage, and besting Lashley at Crown Jewel.

Speaking to Pat McAfee on the Pat McAfee Show, Goldberg gave his current status when it comes to WWE.

"This last time with Lashley was the longest time they gave me to prep and you see the results. I felt pretty good. I won't tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years and I need surgery, but I'll get it when I'm done. I'll get it when I'm finished. If Vince [McMahon] calls me tomorrow morning and says, 'Goldberg, we need you in a month.' What am I going to do if I get surgery? I'll get it done when it's time," he said.

Goldberg noted that he doesn't call Vince, Vince calls him when he wants him to return and that the last time Vince called, he was drunk after a football game.

During the interview, Goldberg also reiterated that he has one more match left on his WWE deal.

Coming out of Crown Jewel, Goldberg felt his performance shut up a lot of people. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
