The grudge match is official for ROH 19th Anniversary.
During the latest episode of ROH Week-By-Week it was announced that Jay Briscoe will take on EC3. The match was originally scheduled for ROH Final Battle in December but was canceled due to EC3 getting COVID.
EC3 returned to ROH television on the February 22 episode, costing The Briscoes their ROH Tag Team Title number one contender bout against La Faccion Ingobernable (Kenny King & Dragon Lee).
EC3 and Briscoe competed in the four corner survival match on the latest episode of ROH Television where the winner would receive an ROH World Title match at 19th Anniversary. Jay Lethal won the match, pinning Matt Taven after EC3 and Briscoe took themselves out of the match by brawling to the back.
