Hechicero Abandons Último Guerrero & Averno For The Don Callis Family on CMLL Martes de Arena Mexico

The Alchemist makes his intentions felt.

CMLL hosted a new edition of their weekly show "Viernes Espectacular" from Arena Mexico on June 10, 2025. The event featured Hechicero making a big announcement.

Hechicero revealed that he had grown frustrated with how Último Guerrero & Averno disregarded him in preparing for their match against Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita & Rocky Romero of The Don Callis Family before announcing he was officially part of the family, abandoning his team with Guerrero & Averno. He said the following:

"Último Guerrero, Averno. The man of another level, the Master & Ruler... of what? of who? You two have a great problem: you are too used to manipulating, dominating, controlling, and ruling over, but you are not dealing with a rookie. You are dealing with Hechicero, the best exponent currently in Mexican Wrestling. You all have made alliances, have spoken, have even hung out, but I have not been ahead of our international big match-up on June 17. I could have been your best ally and made a Dream Team of Mexican Rudos, but you never counted on me. I am not that rookie who lets himself get manipulated. I am who leads the way, I am the one with the magic in the ring, it's my moment. If I have anything is that I am direct, I am loyal, and I am thankful. You two were not counting me in then, now you don't at all. That day, I will not be in your corner because I now have a new home, a new family, a real dream team with the best wrestlers in the world: The Don Callis Family. They are my new family, not by blood, but by ideology, by respect, by tradition, by hierarchy, by world-class potential as rudos. Now I am part of the family with the best wrestlers in the world. So, for the 17th, find new allies because you all do not count on Hechicero anymore."

Hechicero first allied with The Family after teaming with Fletcher & Takeshita against Bandido & Los Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) on AEW Fyter Fest, where they walked out victorious in their first outing as a unit. What seemed like a one-night stand is now officially a full-on entry into the faction belonging to Cyrus the Virus.

Último Guerrero responded to Hechicero, saying he knew Hechicero was not wearing the jersey of CMLL, but he did not care about that and vowed to make Hechicero respect CMLL. Here is the updated line-up as we know.

CMLL vs. AEW/ROH (6/17/2025).

  • Persephone vs. Red Velvet.
  • CMLL World Tag Team Championship Match: Hermanos Chavez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja) (c) vs. CRU (Action Andretti & Lio Rush).
  • Neón vs. Hologram.
  • Atlantis Jr. vs. Josh Alexander.
  • Último Guerrero, Averno & TBA vs. The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher & Rocky Romero).
  • Máscara Dorada vs. Bandido.
