Hornswoggle: ‘Why Is It That If It’s Not What We Had In Mind That Was Going To Happen, It’s Not Good?’

Hornswoggle says wrestling fans complain too much today, rather than just enjoy the product.

Speaking on TMZ Sports’ Inside the Ring podcast, Hornswoggle shared his thoughts on the wrestling community today. The hosts were discussing John Cena’s retirement tour and how it felt a bit too long, and Horngswoggle had this to say.

“When you go to a movie, when you go see this new Avatar, are you going to go, ‘That’s not what I thought was going to happen. It sucked.’ Or are you just going to go, ‘It wasn’t what I thought was going to happen, but it was still entertaining.’

Why can’t we go back to when we were six years old and watch it? Because we think we know too much. We are surrounded by our for you pages. It is great as a wrestling community, the wrestling community is bigger than it’s ever been. But why is it that if it’s not what we had in mind that was going to happen, it’s not good?”

Later, he said nobody deserves anything in wrestling. He took fans as an example and said even when they’re given what they want, they quickly move on and ask for something else.

“When it comes to wrestling, no one’s deserving of anything. No one should be given anything. If it happens, it happens. When it does happen, where do we go from there? I go back to Daniel Bryan winning the Heavyweight Title. Everyone wanted it. He got it. Then what? They move on to the next thing. They don’t think about, ‘Okay, this is what could happen with that.’ No, it’s just I want this. It’s the lady in Willy Wonka… Veruca Salt. We’re all Veruca Salts. It’s literally everyone wants what they want until they get it and then they want something else.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Hornswoggle talked about his son’s desire to step into wrestling. Fans can read his comments here.
