Hulk Hogan Praises AJ Styles For Being A "Phenomenal" Wrestler And Human Being

"The Hulkster" has some "phenomenal" praise for AJ Styles.

WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan was recently inducted into the 'Boys & Girls Club' Hall Of Fame. During his speech Hogan shared the regret that he has about the racial remarks he has made in the past. A report by way of TMZ broke yesterday afternoon which noted that WWE officials were paying close attention to Hulk Hogan's speech at the 'Boys & Girls Club' Hall Of Fame and although the company "applauded" Hogan for the work he is doing they noted in a statement issued to TMZ that Hogan is still not under contract with the company.

"WWE applauds the work Hulk Hogan is doing with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to turn what was a negative into a positive by helping young people learn from his mistake. While he has taken many steps in the right direction since we parted ways, Hogan is not currently under contract to WWE."

On Wednesday which was the day that Hogan accepted his place into the 'Boys & Girls Club' Hall Of Fame, he spoke with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated where he thanked his fans for sticking with him through the highs and lows of his life.

"So many people are so loyal,? said Hogan. ?That support has given me my pulse. I?ve wrestled for four generations of people, but after all these years, I never thought the popularity would still be this big. I?ll be 65 in a couple months, and I had no idea there would still be this groundswell of interest. People have stood by me through the good stuff, but also through the controversy. People were loyal and stood behind me even when big corporations made decisions based on their corporate policies. The fans stuck with me. It?s been amazing how loyal they have been to me. They?re thanking me for my contribution, and I?m thankful for them,? said Hogan. ?The Boys Club is what pointed me in the right direction in life.?

Although Hulk Hogan's name has not been mentioned on WWE programming in quite some time, the current WWE Champion AJ Styles paid tribute to "The Hulkster" during the 'RAW 25' special in January during a backstage segment with WWE Hall Of Famer "Mene" Gene Okerlund. Hogan and AJ worked with one another on-screen in TNA and Hogan stated that Styles has turned out to become one of the best performers in the world and also a great person.

?AJ has turned out to be one heck of a performer, one of the best in the world,? said Hogan. ?Beyond that, he?s just such a good person. What AJ does in the ring is phenomenal, and that?s why we call him the ?Phenomenal One?, but when he?s outside the ring, he?s even more phenomenal,? said Hogan. ?It?s so cool to see how he takes care of his family and loves his kids. If people saw him outside of when he wrestles, they?d have even more admiration for him.?

As mentioned there was a report that surfaced yesterday that had to do with WWE wanting Hulk Hogan to return to the company "the right way". For more details concerning that, click here.
