IMPACT Announces Number One Contender's Tournament For World Title

Moose might be the TNA World Champion, but he'll need to earn an IMPACT World Title shot.

On Tuesday's IMPACT Wrestling an eight-man number one contender's tournament was announced to determine who will challenge Tessa Blanchard for the IMPACT World Title. The participants include Moose, Trey from The Rascalz, Sami Callihan, Michael Elgin, Ken Shamrock, Rhino, Madman Fulton, and Hernandez.

However, Moose said he would be pulling himself out of the tournament. It was announced later that Rohit Raju would replace him in the tournament.

You can view the bracket in the graphic above. The tournament is set to begin next week on IMPACT.

Tessa Blanchard is currently in Mexico and missed the IMPACT tapings in Nashville, TN last month. She was scheduled to defend her IMPACT World Title against Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards in a triple threat match at Rebellion, but could not make the two-night event due to the coronavirus pandemic. Edwards also missed the event.

Instead, Moose battle Elgin and Hernandez with the TNA World Title on the line. Moose was victorious and he recognizes himself as the TNA World Champion.
