Violent By Design's first defence of the IMPACT Tag Team Titles will take place at Against All Odds.
Eric Young's group captured the belts from David Finlay and Juice Robinson two weeks ago, utilizing Rhino's 'Call Your Shot' Trophy and taking advantage of a tired FinJuice who had just fought Ace Austin and Madman Fulton.
On the June 3 episode of IMPACT, Deaner was defeated by NJPW legend Satoshi Kojima, who is also scheduled to face his former All Japan Pro Wrestling adversary Joe Doering at Against All Odds. Backstage after the match, Eric Young said that failure is something that they can get past, but places the blame for the loss on Eddie Edwards, who came out and evened the odds when it looked like VBD were preparing to interfere.
Decay's Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus confronted Violent By Design and said that there appears to be a flaw in the faction's "design" and that Deaner will once again pay the price. Young doesn't appreciate the way Steve, who he trained, is disrespecting him and his men. The Decay member then told Young to put some responsibility on the young disciple and have him defend the tag team belts at Against All Odds. The challenge was accepted.
IMPACT confirmed the match later on by Tweeting out that Deaner and Rhino will defend the Tag Team Titles against Decay's Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus at Against All Odds on Saturday, June 12, 2021.
The titles, although won by Doering and Rhino, seemingly belong to all members of the group.
