The lineup for the January 20 episode of AEW Dynamite is shaping up to feature major names and perhaps the implosion of the Inner Circle faction.
On the January 13 episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho announced that his New Year's resolution was for he and Maxwell Jacob Friedman to capture the All Elite Wrestling Tag Team Championship. This caught the ire of Santana and Ortiz who feel that they are the resident tag team of the Inner Circle.
Sammy Guevara would go so far as to call Chris Jericho a “tag team slut,” noting that he has teamed with Sammy, Jake Hager, and now Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
It was then decided that Santana and Ortiz would face Jericho and MJF and Sammy and Jake Hager, affectionately dubbed Sammy Hager, in a triple threat tag team match on January 20 to determine who the official team representing the Inner Circle faction will be.
In addition to this, it was announced that Jon Moxley would be in action. Nyla Rose will be in action against Leyla Hirsch, Matt Hardy will team with Private Party against Matt Sydal and Top Wolf, and there will be a special birthday celebration match for Brodie Lee Jr. which will see Hangman Page team with Dark Order. Afterward, Page has promised to give the answer as to whether or not he will join the group.\
