Ivar reflects on the injury he suffered in 2020 and the fear that he could have never wrestled again.

The Viking Raiders just competed in the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Ivar recently defeated former WWE Champion and WrestleMania headliner, AJ Styles, on Monday Night Raw. In September of last year, Ivar was sidelined with an injury that he now says he wasn't sure he would be able to come back from.

In a tweet that reflected on the match at Money in the Bank, Ivar expressed gratitude to the WWE universe and his tag team partner Erik for sharing that moment with him has the Viking Raiders look to get back on track and hopefully recapture the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship one day soon.

“There are many ways to measure success. Last night we lost the match…in September of 2020, we didn’t know if I would ever be able to step thru the ropes again and live this dream. On a historic night, alongside my best friend, we performed in front of the WWE Universe and gave it our all. I am incredibly proud of what Erik and I accomplished last night and am forever grateful for the love and support from the WWE Universe. To be able to share that moment with my best friend and all of the fans once again is the greatest success. Thank you WWE Universe!….that being said, we still coming for those titles!”
