IYO SKY Says She Prefers Being A Babyface More Than Being A Heel Because She Gets To Always Smile While Wrestling

IYO SKY says she prefers to be a babyface.

For a large portion of IYO SKY’s career in WWE, she has been a heel, with the majority of her run in WWE NXT being as a heel. Following the breakup of Damage CTRL, IYO would turn babyface on the main roster and has been getting stronger reactions by the week, with fans all over the world emoting along with SKY when she does her pointing taunt.

While speaking to Comicbook ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza, IYO SKY was asked about what she has learned from her time in NXT and on the main roster, noting that she was heel for such a long time in NXT that now she is better enjoying wrestling as a babyface.

“When I was in NXT, most of the time I was as a heel. But now I am a baby face and I always smiling. I’m pointing my face and screaming and I’m so much better enjoying this way to wrestling so yeah.”

IYO was then asked to clarify if she meant she prefers being a babyface to being a heel, which she confirmed.

“Yeah because I could smiling in the ring because as a heel I have to always keep like a grumpy face or you know scary face during the match so now I’m smiling as a natural.”
