Jake Hager removed from AEW roster.
Jake Hager has notably been removed from the roster page on the official AEW website. Hager has not wrestled in AEW since the February 23 episode of AEW Rampage.
Bodyslam.net reported on May 28 that his contract expired and the two sides parted ways.
Fightful Select published the following report on Monday regarding Hager:
Fightful reached out to Jake Hager last week regarding BodySlam.net's reports that his contract had expired. We didn't hear back, but AEW sources indicated there was no plan to use him. Even though he retired from MMA last year, we've heard from at least one promotion interested in using him.
Hager debuted for AEW on the premier episode of AEW Dynamite in October 2019, aligning himself with Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle.
Fightful will provide more details on Hager's future when it is known.
