Jake Roberts Not Ruling Out One More Match, Jokes He Wanted To Jump Tully Blanchard After His Match

Though Jake Roberts hasn't wrestled since 2018, he has gotten physical in the AEW ring. Roberts performed a short-arm clothesline before getting hit with a superkick at AEW Revolution.

It wasn't the first time Roberts has gotten physical at an AEW event and he's hoping it won't be the last.

"That's one of the things I commend [AEW] for. Their love and care of the athletes. They have people in the back who know how to handle injuries and know how to handle me," said Roberts in an interview with Brandon Walker on Rasslin.

"It's still difficult," said Roberts how it is handling him. "I still want to do more and I haven't gotten it through my thick skull that I'm 65. Every now and then, it'll start bubbling. 'You've got a couple of matches left.' I'm still not ruling it out. It pissed me off (to watch Tully Blanchard wrestle). I wanted to jump him when he came to the back, but he was out there signing autographs. I was so proud of him."

Blanchard competed in a six-man tag team bout alongside FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) on the March 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Elsewhere during the interview, Roberts revealed his initial contract with AEW was for ten weeks. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
