Jeff Jarrett is still going strong.
At the age of 51-years old WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett is still rolling strong in the ring as he last competed this past June at AAA's Verano De Escandalo 2018 event and the following day at an AAA TV taping. At 'Verano De Escandalo' Jeff Jarrett emerged victorious in a Triple-Threat match featuring Rey Wagner and Rey Mysterio Jr. to become AAA Mega Champion.
Jarrett has been reigning for 47+ days and is the sixteenth AAA Mega Champion. While speaking with Tony Quant of Mirror Sport, Jarrett explained what it meant to him to capture the World Heavyweight Championship of AAA.
"Antonio Pena the founder of AAA and I worked together in 2002/2003. I have worked with the Pena family for years. I am the longest reigning non-Mexican Mega Champion. An opportunity presented itself, and let me just say, it was an offer that could not be turned down." Jarrett said. "For me to get that opportunity to work with Dr. Wagner and Rey Mysterio is history making. I am also the first reigning champion to step foot in the UK when I touch down next week and I am really excited about that."
