Tony Khan then announced that all sponsorship money from the show would be donated to Maui Food Bank. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that the sponsorship was worth six figures.

Speaking on his My World with Jeff Jarrett podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed the match. In one highlight, he commented on the sponsorship money that AEW received for the bout.

“Just to let you in on this, the number that’s being reported online, that’s why I haven’t commented on it, it’s way low. It blew me away," Jarrett said.

Jarrett was also asked to describe Tony Khan's reaction to the match. He repeated that the bout helped raise a lot of money and emphasized that Khan was very pleased with it. Jarrett also made it clear that Khan was very appreciative.

“Big smile. This is super inside baseball. Knowing the charity aspect, also knowing the nuts and bolts of the value of just this integration, I mean, it’s a lot more than [what’s] being reported. But also the Avenue that this can take us. This is how Tony’s organization did this integration so the next integration may or may not be as deep. But basically, new frontier, new business development, new opportunities, I could go on and on. I believe Tony said this. Loved it, super pleased, happy, but it goes a lot more…. Was Tony’s cup of tea fake blood being poured on and then real blood coming out of my head, then the guitar shot or kendo stick or the backstage, all that, I’m not saying that. From a business perspective, and that’s what all this is, super excited and was very appreciative of it," Jarrett said.

During the podcast, Jarrett also responded to the criticism of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Match. C;ick here to see what he had to say.

AEW also helped raise funds for Maui with two shirts, including the Young Bucks' new "Young Bucks Love Maui" design. More information is available here.
