Jeff Jarrett Says ‘Creative Plans Changed’ Regarding His Retirement Run

In January 2025, Jeff Jarrett announced he had re-signed with AEW and said that he was going on one last run, hoping to win the AEW Championship.
Jarrett lost to Claudio Castagnoli on the January 29 episode of AEW Dynamite and has not wrestled on AEW TV since.
During a Reddit Q&A, Jarrett was asked what happened to his retirement run.
“There’s one thing in the wrestling business that’s always consistent: “CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE…”
“Creative plans will always change in this industry.”
Plans change, pal.
Jarrett is featured on the season premiere of Dark Side of the Ring, which focuses on his life and the battle for TNA Wrestling.
