Jerry Lawler has doubts about the circumstances surrounding his son's death.
On July 29th, Brian Lawler passed away after what was reported to be an apparent suicide. He was rushed to a hospital where he was kept alive by medication and life support machines. In his first podcast since the passing of his son, Jerry Lawler discussed his timeline of events from finding out about his son's hospitalization and going to see him before he passed.
During the podcast, Jerry Lawler spoke about the current investigation by the Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation regarding the circumstances of the alleged suicide.
"There's more to this than we can really talk about now. A lot of people have expressed , as I have, doubts as to whether Brian actually did commit suicide," said Jerry Lawler. "We've been contacted by inmates that were in the jail with Brian who said they don't believe what was told is exactly what happened...I probably shouldn't say anymore because this investigation is going to be on-going and it may take a long time to get this all sorted out," he continued.
Jerry Lawler admitted that he's concerned his doubts about the suicide may be a by-product of his grieving but he's dedicated to finding out the whole truth.
Also during the podcast, Lawler said he visited his son in the jail and spoke with the Sheriff who told him he would be looking after Brian Lawler and advised that the time in jail would be beneficial to him.
Jerry Lawler's lawyer told him the story given by the jail doesn't pass "the smell test."
