Je’Von Evans Explains When He Discovered He Could Be Bouncy In The Ring

Je’Von Evans explains how he discovered he could do the high-flying moves in the ring.

The current WWE roster boasts wrestlers with a wide variety of wrestling styles. Many are known for their no-nonsense approach, some are known for their entrance, and others are famous for their athleticism. Sometimes it’s hard to stand out when there are so many great talents in the ring, but even then, “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans has made a name for himself with his high-octane style of working.

Speaking onĀ ROAR Around The Ring, Je’Von was asked how he first discovered he could wrestle like this.

“I feel like when I was on the independent scene, it started off with me doing a springboard back elbow. I think I was probably around like 15-16. I would just run and jump off the middle rope, jump backwards and hit the back elbow. I always got like crazy height off of it. I was like, ‘Okay, cool. That’s fire.’ Then eventually, I turned that into a cutter. One day, I did a springboard from the apron, springboard to the top. I just jumped, and I got so much air. I think after that…

I know what match it was against Captain Blacka Merica, Wrestle Revival. … I sprung so high in the air, and I was like, ‘Oh, okay. This is fun. This is cool.’ After that, it was just bow, bow, bow like now I’m bouncy.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Je’Von talks about WWE wrestlers who guide him out in the ring when he’s doing “dumb things.” Fans can read his comments by clicking here.
