Je’Von Evans says that he was not expecting to become a pro wrestler that kids look up to at ‘such a young age.’
Evans is one of the wrestling world’s hottest prospects, and has been a consistent part of WWE and NXT television since signing with the company. The 22 year old is also continuing to grow in popularity with fans, but for Je’Von, it comes unexpectedly.
While speaking to WrestleRant in a recent interview, Je’Von Evans was asked about having kids look up to him so early in his career, noting that it was unexpected for him at this stage of his career.
“It’s insane to think about, I was not expecting to become somebody that, that kids look up to at a very young age, especially very soon. Like I’ll be expecting all this to be happening at least about like 25 or 27. But now that I’m able to, give back and be able to be that, that leader for the younger generation right now, that’s a blessing. I’m honored. I’m only 22. So I got so many years, hopefully, you know what I mean?”
Elsewhere in another interview, Je’Von spoke about what ring name he wanted to wrestle under in WWE. You can read more about that here.
