Jim Ross: Tiger King Reminds Me Of A Failed Independent Wrestler, He's An Idiot

Joe Exotic has been the talk of the entertainment world over the last week thanks to the Netflix docu-series "Tiger King."

Before he became involved in petting cubs, murder for hire plots, country music, and ultimately...jail, Exotic was involved in the world of pro wrestling. Because, of course, he was. Exotic helped promote NWA Texoma Wrestling, with some shows taking place at his zoo. Joe provided commentary for the shows.

Jim Ross, whose only connection with Joe Exotic is that they are both from Oklahoma, weighed in on the documentary and Exotic's exploits.

"I think people think 'all those [Oklahomans] must be like that guy.' I think those sons a bitches are just Texans who went across the Red River and infiltrated our territory. He reminds me of a failed Independent wrestler who cannot get booked so he blames it on everybody else, a bad knee, a bad elbow, the prejudice of the booker. He's an idiot," said Ross on Mac Attack on WFNZ

Fightful spoke to several wrestlers who appeared on shows said that they didn't have any particularly wild stories about him, but noted they got paid on time. No word on if he tried to book any against Carol Baskins.
