Jinder Mahal has officially called out John Cena for WrestleMania 34. But will it actually go down?
Mahal called out Cena during a Twitter "ask me anything" session. When someone asked about who he wanted to face at WrestleMania, the WWE champion made it clear who he would pick to headline against.
"At WrestleMania 34, I would like to face John Cena" he responded. "It could happen because I fully intend on being WWE champion at WrestleMania and even after WrestleMania. John Cena, consider this an official challenge to you."
If it goes down, it would be a dramatic change from where he was on the card last year. At WrestleMania 33, Mahal competed in the annual Andre the Giant battle royal. He made it to the finals, where he was the last person eliminated after Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots came in on Mojo Rawley's behalf, enabling him to get the win.
John Cena last year teamed up with his girlfriend Nikki Bella to take on The Miz and Maryse in a mixed tag match. After becoming victorious, Cena proposed to Bella, and she accepted.
WrestleMania 34 will take place at the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 8, 2018.
