John Cena: It Probably Would’ve Been Cool To Have The Rock And Travis Scott. We Didn’t. I Wouldn’t Trade What I Got For Anything

John Cena shocked the world at WWE Elimination Chamber when he turned heel, striking Cody Rhodes and aligning with Travis Scott and The Rock.
The Rock was never seen again after Elimination Chamber, and after helping Cena win the Undisputed WWE Title at WrestleMania, Travis Scott also disappeared. Cena’s retirement year finished without the presence of Rock and Scott, leading to Cena turning babyface again before WWE SummerSlam.
Speaking at Fan Expo New Orleans, Cena was asked if he could replace any match on his retirement tour with a dream match, what would it be?
“There’s a perspective out there that I will dodge questions like that, so I will lean into that. I will lean into why I say what I like to say. I just don’t think like that. If I were to say, ‘Oh man, I wish after I turned heel that The Rock and Travis Scott were on my team.’ That would be pretty cool, right? Yeah, they’re crazy megastars and having them would be pretty cool, but we didn’t. That’s what happened,” said Cena.
Cena was appreciative of the matches he got with CM Punk, Randy Orton, Logan Paul, and AJ Styles.
He continued, “Yes, the Rock and Travis Scott probably would have been great. Who knows? It didn’t happen. What I got in return, instead of wishing in some fantasy element that I can’t control, what I got in return was magic and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.”
Cena lost his last match, tapping out to Gunther.
While speaking to Cody Rhodes, Cena said that while everybody else talked about the lack of Scott and Rock, he and Cody didn’t. You can find his full comments here.
