John Cena will be in another action movie.
Over the past couple years, John Cena has been seen in a variety of movies ranging from family animated movies to raunchy comedies and will be in an action film produced by the Rock soon. It was reported by the Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday that Cena has signed on to replace Sylvester Stallone in a movie directed by Fast and Furious' Scott Waugh and also starring Jackie Chan.
The movie reportedly will be about two private security personnel thwarting a conspiracy by an Chinese oil company. No name for the film was announced.
In the last few months, Cena has been away from WWE television the majority of the time to promote more than one movie in which he appeared. His movie Blockers premiered earlier this year and his role in the Transformer's spinoff Bumblebee will be seen in theaters this December. Cena last appeared in a match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event against Triple H and before that he lost to the Undertaker at WrestleMania 34.
