John Cena Surprises 7-Year-Old Boy Battling Cancer With An In-Home Visit

Internal conflicts inside the Firefly Fun House and a global pandemic will not keep John Cena from granting a wish and inspiring hope.

John Cena has granted well over six hundred wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and his latest kind gesture is one that truly speaks to the character of the man who tells the WWE Universe to ?never give up.?

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2020, John Cena visited seven-year-old David Castle in his Odessa, Florida home. David is currently battling Wilms tumor, a type of cancer that starts in the kidneys. He was diagnosed with the tumor on October 25, 2019.

In true John Cena fashion, he did not show up empty-handed and brought lots of memorabilia for the young boy including two WWE championship belts, t-shirts, the signature John Cena merchandise including hat and armbands, and much more.

According to a report by WFLA in Tampa, the surprise visit was made possible by officials with Pasco County Fire Rescue. David, who will turn eight next Sunday, has many months of radiation and chemotherapy to go. according to his mother, Tammy Miller, he has already undergone several tests and surgeries.

There is a GoFundMe page to help with David's medical expenses which you can view here.
