Samoa Joe's list of opponents for upcoming WWE house shows looks to be even more star-studded.
According to the official BancorpSouth Arena website, Joe will be facing John Cena, still being billed as a free agent in the August 27 live event. The 10,000-seat venue is located in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Joe isn't just facing Cena in August on live events. Joe is also facing current WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar in rematches from the Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view main event. Lesnar was added to the August 12 Smackdown Live event. The two will meet again on pay-per-view as part of a fatal four-way involving Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman at SummerSlam.
Other matches being advertised for the live event are Sheamus and Cesaro defending their Raw Tag Team Titles in a triple threat match, Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt, Enzo vs. Big Cass, Reigns vs. Strowman and more. As with all WWE live events, the card is always subject to change.
Joe has fought a number of top WWE superstars in his short time on Monday Night Raw, wrestling Lesnar, Reigns, Rollins and Sami Zayn. Joe is a former NXT Champion prior to going to Raw.
