Jon Moxley On Potential Return To NJPW: I Got Plans, I’ll Come Back Whenever The F*ck Want

Jon Moxley teases his intent to return to Japan and wrestle for NJPW again.

Moxley competed at NJPW Dominion, where he, Claudio Castagnoli, and Shota Umino unsuccessfully challenged Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii for the NEVER Openweight Championship. The match marked Moxley's first time wrestling in Japan since 2020, though he has competed at NJPW shows in the United States.

In a backstage interview after his match at NJPW Dominion, Moxley pointed out that it had been a while since he had been in Japan, and a lot had happened since his previous trip. He made it clear that he was happy to be back, as fighting spirit is appreciated in Japan. Moxley stated that the magical combination of blood, sweat, will, and guts is a powerful drug. He then stated that he has plans, he has a resident card, and he'll come back whenever he wants.

"A couple kids, a couple trips to rehab later, here we are. Every single time I come back to Japan, I will give you you absolute best, just like Claudio will, just like Shooter will. I am so goddamned glad to be back in Japan. This is a place where fighting spirit is revered, this is a place where fighting spirit pays off in the ring, in that magical moment where blood and sweat and will and guts and all that shit mixes into one. It’s the greatest fucking drug in the world. I love that shit. Fuck yeah. We’ll wrestle again. I got fucking plans. I got a fucking resident card now. I know Okada has been fucking with the visa thing and trying to get our shit stopped up. But I got the card now. I’ll come back whenever the fuck I want. Thank you, Japan," Moxley said.

Moxley also commented on his team's loss in the match. He congratulated Okada for beating a "14-year-old" in Umino before he stated that he doesn't have time for Okada, Ishii, or Tanahashi. Moxley then referenced Bryan Danielson challenging Okada to a match. He noted that Danielson may want to teach Okada something, but he doesn't feel that drive.

“Congratulations, Okada. You beat a fucking 14-year-old. Real cool, man. You like picking on Shota, huh? You, rich kids, bullies, you guys, Ishii, Tanahashi, Okada, the cool kids. The guys they call the best in the world that can do no wrong. Personally, me, I don’t have any time for you motherfuckers. I’m not very impressed with you at all. I am the most criminally and chronically undervalued, looked-over, just total piece of shit. You guys are the best, apparently. That’s what a lot of people say. Well, far be it for me to disagree. Maybe my friend, my training partner, the man who has inspired a generation, Bryan Fucking Danielson, the American Dragon, maybe he can teach you what I mean. But when I look at you, I have no impetus to show you one goddamned bit of respect," Moxley said.
