Jonathan Gresham Expresses Gratitude After Agenting Sukeban Show

Jonathan Gresham was one of the agents at the Sukeban show.

On May 19th, Sukeban presented their latest show at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. It was revealed by WWE talent Jordynne Grace that her husband, Jonathan Gresham, was an agent for the event.

Taking to his own social media pages, Gresham released a statement of appreciation for the experience.

“Yesterday started at 6am, preparing to join the SUKEBAN team at the world-famous Hammerstein Ballroom later that morning at 9:15.

I’ve wrestled names like Zack Sabre Jr. and Dragon Lee in that building, but somehow I don’t remember being as nervous as I was last night stepping into the role of agent for the matches at Sukeban.

One of the most special parts of the experience was reconnecting with people I hadn’t seen since my days in the Pro Wrestling ZERO1 dojo in Japan. Seeing Hiroyo Matsumoto again brought back so many memories. During my time there, she was always incredibly kind to me. Seeing her again in New York City felt truly special.

The same goes for Yuu and YUKI. I’ve known these women for well over a decade, so to share this experience with them here in NYC was something l’ll never forget. We spoke deeply about wrestling β€” I shared my thoughts on what wrestling can become, and they shared what wrestling means to them. In such a short amount of time, I learned so much. I’m incredibly grateful for those conversations, for their openness, and for the opportunity to grow through this experience.

Sukeban reminded me that professional wrestling can still surprise us. It can still evolve, still feel fresh, artistic, emotional, and fun. Watching something so different, so vibrant, and so full of life gave me a renewed sense of hope and inspiration for the art form we all love.

I’m deeply grateful for yesterday, for the people involved, and for the reminder that wrestling still has so many beautiful directions left to explore.”

Gresham returned to in-ring action in January 2026. He had been away from the ring since the summer of 2025 because he suffered two strokes.
