Jorge Masvidal On Potentially Working For WWE: If The Compensation Makes Sense, Let's Do It

Jorge Masvidal teases that he'd be open to working for WWE.

Masvidal, a former UFC BMF Champion, holds the record for fastest knockout in UFC history, and he was one of the company's most acclaimed fighters until he retired following his loss to Gilbert Burns via unanimous decision at UFC 287. He appeared at UFC 291, where he award Justin Gaethje with the UFC BMF Championship. However, he remains eager to compete, and he has expressed his openness to potentially working with WWE.

“If the shoe fits, wear it,” Masvidal said in an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. “I’m very busy, but if the compensation makes sense, then let’s do it.”

With Endeavor, UFC's parent company, in the process of acquiring WWE, Masvidal noted that he could potentially see himself on Raw or SmackDown someday.

Masvidal memorably crossover into the wrestling world in 2021, as he was one of the fighters Dan Lambert brought into AEW. Masvidal blasted former AEW World Champion with his signature flying knee, but he never wrestled for the company.

“If the WWE wants a savage like me, then sign me up. I’ll go over to WWE and domesticate those guys," Masvidal said.

The former UFC star emphasized that he is very busy with his own promotion, Gamebred Bareknuckle, and stated that it's his priority. However, he is confident that he could do some damage in a WWE ring if he ever got the chance to do so.

“I love fighting. If I go to WWE, I’ll put a hurting on them every night. I’ll torture them, make life f------ hell for all of them. No one over there can beat me," Masvidal said.

As of this writing, there is no word on whether Masvidal will make an appearance for WWE at some point.

Masvidal previously stated that he didn't think AEW wanted him to be physical at shows after what he did to Chris Jericho. Check out his comments here.
