Kalisto Calls Dominik Mysterio Weak, Says He's Done Sitting On The Sidelines

Kalisto has his sights set on the Mysterio family.

The former United States Champion has been absent from WWE programming since he appeared on the Survivor Series 2020 Kick-Off Show, losing a Battle Royal. Kalisto had returned to SmackDown in August after recovering from a shoulder injury. In October, he was separated from his Lucha House Party teammates when Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado were drafted to Monday Night Raw.

In a new message shared to his Twitter, the self-proclaimed GLOAT had this message for Rey and Dominik Mysterio:

“The action! The surprise returns! The comeback! Guys, the comeback! Royal Rumble. That comeback. What is he thinking? What’s next? Oh, wait a minute, wait a minute. You guys aren’t thinking I’m talking about somebody else? No no no no no, the guy I’m talking about is standing right here looking at you.

Allow me to reintroduce myself. I’m the 773 Lucha kid. The Aztec Lucha warrior. I am Lucha. I am Kalisto, the greatest luchador of all time, and also in the best shape in my life. You know why? Because I believe in what I say and I believe in what I do.

So, you have the audacity to comment on my pictures and say that Rey is the greatest of all time. You are all brainwashed. See the difference between Rey and I is opportunity. Hey Dominik, I’m sure you’re used to all that, right? Opportunity at the Royal Rumble. That could’ve been me. I could’ve won that Royal Rumble. I could've beaten every single superstar in that ring, and you didn’t. You’re weak. Rey, you have a weak son and he has a lot to learn. I know what to do and I know my motivation. So, Rey, it’s time for you to step aside and let the GLOAT take over. I am done sitting on the sidelines.”

Kalisto's new nickname is a play on Rey Mysterio's Greatest Mask Of All Time (G.M.O.A.T) moniker that he had previously used.

Dominik will compete tonight on Smackdown against King Corbin. Fightful has live coverage of SmackDown beginning at 8 p.m. eastern.
