Former WWE Champion Kane may be dipping his toes into politics and real estate, but the 21-year WWE veteran claims he isn't considering retirement.
Kane, who turned 49-years old in April, spoke to the Like Father, Like Son podcast recently and said he's enjoying his current role with WWE. Kane also says he's not dealt with many major injuries that other competitors have.
?Not really. It?s still fun. I have a lot of fun now with the younger guys and just being in the position that I?m in, as more of a mentor at times. I?ve also been very fortunate that I haven?t had many injuries, so my body still feels good. I can?t say it feels as good as it did when I was 25, but it still feels good and I can still do most of the things that I used to be able to do. And I still think that I perform at a high level, even when I?m in there literally against guys that are half my age sometimes. I think they still have to keep up with me,? Kane, real name Glen Jacobs said.
Kane returned to WWE television recently as a surprise opponent for WWE Intercontinental Champion, The Miz. Kane was protected to a degree, as he won the June 27 matchup via count-out when the Miz left the ring to tend to Maryse, who feigned injury.
Kane has headlined a WWE show every year since 1998. He also formerly performed for the company as a fake version of Diesel (1996-97) and the Jerry Lawler-managed Isaac Yankem D.D.S. (1995-96).
