Kazuchika Okada Promotes Japanese Dubbed Version Of 'Black Adam', Wants To Face The Rock

Kazuchika Okada would like to face The Rock.

Okada, a six-time world champion, is one of NJPW's top stars, and he has won the G1 Climax four times. The Rock, also known as The Rock, is one of the most iconic wrestlers in recent memory; the eight-time WWE Champion helped take WWE to new heights throughout the Attitude Era, and he came one of the most successful crossover stars the industry has ever seen. In recent years, Johnson has focused on his acting career, among other projects. His newest movie, "Black Adam", was a hit at the box office, and it is coming to Japan next month.

The Japanese dubbed version of the film will premiere on December 2, and the actors involved attended a promotional event ahead of the release. Okada has a cameo in the movie, while Taiten Kusunoki voiced Johnson and Maaya Uchida voiced Quintessa Swindell, who plays Cyclone.

At the event, which is recapped on NJPW's website, Okada was asked if it looked like the life-size figure of Black Adam could fight. He responded by joking that it seemed like it could. The NJPW star then expressed his interest in facing The Rock himself.

"It looks like he can fight. He looks like he can do it. I think we can have a match… Well, as a fellow pro wrestler, I’d like to have a match with him [Johnson]," Okada said.

It's unclear whether the dream match between Okada and The Rock will ever become a reality, but the two stars will now be connected through "Black Adam".

Conan O'Brien recently recalled how The Rock used one of his lines at Royal Rumble 2000. More information is available here.
