Ken Shamrock Corners Clark Connors Against Old Rival Minoru Suzuki At NJPW Rumble On 44th Street

Minoru Suzuki runs into an old friend.

Ken Shamrock made a surprise appearance at NJPW Rumble on 44th Street, cornering Clark Connors for his bout against Minoru Suzuki.

Shamrock's advice was not good enough as Suzuki scored the victory with the Gotch-style piledriver.

After the match, Shamrock and Suzuki teased getting into a physical altercation, but ended up hugging.

Suzuki and Shamrock have a long history as they were part of the formation of MMA promotion Pancrase. The two men faced each other twice in Pancrase with Suzuki winning the first bout in January 1994 by kneebar submission and then winning the second bout in May 1995, also by kneebar submission.

Shamrock hasn't been involved in a full-time capacity in wrestling since he finished up a run with IMPACT Wrestling in 2021. He was inducted into the 2020 IMPACT Hall of Fame.
