Kenice Mobley: I Was Too Honest On A Podcast, No Way That Could Have Negative Consequences, Right?

Kenice Mobley has broken her silence regarding her WWE release.

Mobley, who was hired as a writer for WWE Raw writer earlier this year, appeared on the Asian Not Asian podcast shortly after being hired and admitted she had no knowledge of the WWE product.

"Yes, I have just been hired by WWE. Yes [it’s surprising WWE hired her]. Yes, also a surprise for me, they did not require me to know anything about wrestling, but I do have a background in film production and comedy writing and they’re like, ‘Perfect. Come on in,'" Mobley said. “So I am on the Monday Night Raw team. There’s Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown and the people I know that are on it are Bobby -- I mean, his name is either Bobby Ashley or Bobby Lashley and I really should know that. He’s like this giant black guy and he and the people who are part of his crew, I know that they call, or at least as of last year, they called themselves The Hurt Business. They wear suits and they’re like, ‘We’re cool.’ Sometimes he's fighting and just like skivvies or whatever. But sometimes he's like, ‘Oh, we're going to break out into a fight during this conversation.’ But like, yeah, he's wearing a full-on suit and like, they're like throwing each other around and I really want to know their tailor, if they're able to do all that movement and their suits still look very tight.”

There was internet backlash regarding her comments with many fans unhappy that WWE hired her and that she admitted her lack of knowledge.

Mobley was eventually released by the company on June 25.

Taking to social media, Mobley finally commented on her release.

Mobley continues to host the Love About Town podcast and has credits on The Tonight Show.
