Kenny Omega vs Hijo del Vikingo for AAA Mega Championship, More Added for TripleMania 31 Tijuana.

The AAA Mega Title Match is set for TripleMania 31 Tijuana.

Mexican-based promotion AAA announced in a press conference the first matches for AAA's second big show of the year, TripleMania 31 Tijuana. Within those announcements, it was revealed that the AAA Mega Championship will be defended on June 17, 2023.

The match in question will be a rematch from the 3/22/2023 edition of AEW Dynamite, as champion Hijo del Vikingo will face Kenny Omega for the title. This match was originally supposed to take place on December 4, 2021 as a part of the show "TripleMania Regia", but Omega was removed from the match due to injury.

Also announced for the card was a match between Team Baja, a conforming wrestler from the Tijuana Area led by Nicho El Millonario (WCW's Psicosis), against team Chilango, led by Negro Casas. The full card of the show is listed below. This match will be continued with the previously announced bout between Psycho Clown & Sam Adonis againt RUSH & LA Park.

  • AAA Mega Championship Match: Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Kenny Omega.
  • Guerra de Rivalidades: Final Round: Psycho Clown & Sam Adonis vs. RUSH & LA Park.
  • Team Baja (Nicho El Millonario & TBA) vs. Team Chilango (Negro Casas & TBA).

AAA is set to make more announcements to the card in a later date. Fightful will have more updates as they are unveiled.
