Kevin Knight On Low Blowing MJF To Defeat Him: I Wouldn’t Say Cheated, I Would Say Outsmarted

Kevin Knight comments on low blowing MJF in order to retain his AEW TNT Championship.

On the April 29th edition of AEW Dynamite last week, Knight would defend his TNT Championship against former AEW World Champion MJF, utilizing a low blow to help score a pinfall victory over Max. Now, Kevin has disputed the idea that he cheated to beat MJF.

While speaking to Bodyslam.net in a new interview, Kevin Knight spoke about low blowing MJF, stating his belief that he didn’t cheat in the bout.

“That’s a strong word. I wouldn’t say cheated. I would say outsmarted. I played chess against somebody that thinks he’s pretty good at chess. He tried to cheat. He got caught cheating. Boom. You know, there’s consequences. There’s consequences for your actions, and I think, you know, MJF has caused a lot of havoc in AEW. He’s done a lot of cheating over his career in AEW. So I think he’s just getting what’s coming back to him. You know, he’s on an 0-2 streak right now. He’s not too hot. So he’s going to keep complaining, and I’m looking forward to seeing how he’s going to try to involve himself within this match tomorrow, and I’m just being… I’m going to just be keeping my eyes peeled, not only for Darby. Brody might come out. MJF might come out, Speedball, there’s a lot of different factors I have to look into tomorrow, so I’m just looking forward to it.”

Elsewhere in this week’s Speedball vlog, Knight reacted to the victory. You can read more about that here.
