Cody Rhodes Believes There Might Be An Overload Of Information To Where Fans Don’t Care, ‘I Don’t Need To Know How Many People Were In The Seats’
Cody Rhodes speaks on the documentation of everything.
Nearly every week, WWE and other promotions tout record sales, viewership, gates, ratings, or anything else they can promote. On What Do You Want To Talk About, Cody Rhodes and Kit Wilson reflected on an event from IPW UK, and Cody asked about the house they drew. He then expressed concerns about the overload of information.
“Now, everything is documented. It’s scary. It’s scary, but it also holds you accountable. I’m in my head about some of the things of late where every single piece of WWE right now, and every wrestling company, somebody needs to share and put it out there. I think what’s going to happen is an overload of information to the point where fans just stop caring. ‘I watch the show, I like the show, I like this guy, I don’t like that guy.’ I don’t need to know how many people were in the seats. It’s wild. I don’t know who is keeping all these records, but I’m getting tired of, ‘What do we need this for? Who is this for?’ It seems like it’s doing great,” he said.
Cody noted that as much as he loves Star Wars, he doesn’t care about the behind-the-scenes stuff because it will spoil things.
