Khabib Nurmagomedov Threatens To Leave The UFC, Later Says He Has Offer From WWE

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was last seen defeating Conor McGregor by submission in the main event of UFC 229.

The champion would instigate a huge brawl after the fight by hopping the Octagon fence and is now awaiting punishment with McGregor for those actions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

Dana White already handed out some punishments of his own for the melee, stating that Zubaira Tukhugov and Islam Makhachev are no longer fighting in the promotion after allegedly attacking McGregor during the brawl.

Nurmagomedov recently issued a statement on Instagram, stating that if either Tukhugov or Makhachev gets punished for the UFC 229 brawl, a move would be made by him to exit the UFC for good:

There has been no comment yet from the UFC about Nurmagomedov?s future, but Tukhugov has been pulled from a fight against Artem Lobov at UFC Fight Night Moncton.

It may not be hard for Nurmagomedov to find work outside of the UFC, as the lightweight champion took to Twitter to say that the WWE has contacted him:

No comment has been made yet by the WWE as to whether or not they have contacted the UFC Lightweight Champion.
