At NXT TakeOver: War Games the-then NXT Women's Champion Ember Moon escaped the clutches of the submission specialist Shayna Baszler. For weeks leading up to tonight's NXT TakeOver Shayna preached that Ember was not going to be able to pull the rabbit out of her hat again and she followed up on her promise.
The two superstars fought tooth and nail and Shayna even got a taste of her own medicine by way of Ember Moon delivering that signature elbow stomp onto Baszler. The end of the contest saw "The Queen Of Spades" lock in the "Muta-Lock" onto Ember Moon. Moon tried to fight as she squealed and squirmed her way to the ropes but in the end she could not escape the former mixed martial artist' grasp as Moon passed out and in doing so gave up her NXT Women's Championship.
