Kiana James Returns On WWE Main Event, Spotted In The Background On WWE SmackDown
Kiana James was back in the ring on WWE Main Event.
James faced Michin in her return bout.
This was James’ first match since June 2024 when she competed on WWE Raw in a Money in the Bank qualifying match against IYO SKY and Zelina Vega.
On WWE SmackDown, James was seen in the background of a backstage segment where Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair were speaking. James was holding her trademark briefcase.
In April, James confirmed she suffered a leg injury and was in the middle of her rehab.

She was moved to WWE Raw in the 2024 WWE Draft, coming over from NXT. James wrestled two matches on WWE Raw before the injury sidelined her for 15 months.

Fight Select published the following report regarding James on July 17:
I heard she was either cleared or nearing clearance over a month ago. She was backstage at the Lexington Smackdown show, and also backstage at Evolution. It would appear they have at least something planned for her since they didn’t include her in the battle royal.
