Kip Sabian revealed himself on the August 24 episode of AEW Dynamite, and he picked a fight with PAC.
In the main event, Death Triangle (PAC, Rey Fenix amd Penta Oscuro) faced United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, and Mark Davis) in an AEW World Trios Championship tournament match. Near the end of the bout, the reigning AEW All-Atlantic Champion and his teammates were in control when PAC noticed a familiar face at ringside.
That face was concealed by a cardboard box, which is the same look Sabian has been sporting in recent months. He has been watching PAC closely during the latter's recent title defenses, and when the latter saw him on Wednesday, "The Bastard" tried to take action. He confronted the box-wearing individual and revealed their identity. It turned out to be a stranger, and the real Sabian attacked PAC from behind.
The interference paved the way for United Empire to seize control of the match. Shortly thereafter, Ospreay pinned Fenix with an Os-Cutter to win the bout.
Sabian hasn't wrestled in an AEW ring since March 2021. He had shoulder surgery in May that same year. In recent months, he has been seen sitting in the crowd at AEW shows, wearing the aforementioned box on his head. Sabian recently returned to the ring at British Wrestling Revolution's Anniversary X show on July 1.
