Kira credits Soberano Jr for coming up with her Pokémon gear.
In late 2025, Kira went viral after wearing Pokémon-themed gear in CMLL. As it turns out, Soberano Jr. was the mastermind behind it all.
“I’m not that big a fan of Pokémon. My teammates and I, who aren’t big fans, were considered. You won’t believe it, but the idea for the gear came from Soberano Jr.” Kira told Fightful in a new interview. “He is a big Pokémon fan, and he was the one who told me that my ideal Pokémon would be Togepi. It was something I did not expect. The reaction from the crowd was something I never imagined, and when I walked out on the catwalk, and they realized it was a reference to that Pokémon, it was like, ‘What’s going on?’ It was really lovely, to be honest. It was an unforgettable experience, with the entire Arena Mexico chanting the name of the Pokémon I was dressed as, and it went viral on social media. I gained many new followers who weren’t familiar with wrestling; some said they liked the fight because they saw me fight in that gear, which made it unforgettable and very lovely. I am very grateful to the new fans who joined and to those who were already there.”
