Kofi Kingston did some promotional work to promote WWE's live event in Huntington.
Last night, the SmackDown roster competed in front of the Huntington, West Virginia faithful at the 'Big Sandy Superstore Arena' which was home to the blue brand's live event. The current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was a part of that house show and to promote it, he spoke with The Herald-Dispatch over the weekend and talked about a handful of topics including being the first African-born WWE Champion in history.
Kofi stated that being one of two African American WWE Champions has opened a lot of doors and provides motivation to others to let them know that anything is possible.
"I think we're definitely on the right track," Kingston said. "Obviously being one of very few African American WWE Champions has really opened up some doors in terms of providing a little motivation and a sense that anything is possible because it actually happened. You shoot for the moon and you hit a star."
