Kofi Kingston Discusses Transitioning Into A Singles Star

Kofi Kingston speaks to the Hindu Times.

Despite being WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston is one of the most decorated tag team superstar in WWE history. Prior to winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania 35, Kofi spent years winning tag gold as a member of The New Day alongside Big E and Xavier Woods. Now that he's at the top of the mountain on SmackDown, Kofi is working more singles matches on WWE pay-per-views.

Speaking to the Hindu Times, Kofi discussed his transition into being a singles star.

"It is different. I have been working matches with Big E and Xavier (Woods) for the last five years and tag matches are a completely different ball game. It took me a bit to time to get adjusted but my story has added a lot of chapters to itself and trust me, it is been different in the best possible way."

Whether together or apart, New Day is thriving on SmackDown. Big E and Xavier joined Kofi as championship members of New Day this past Sunday at Extreme Rules when they won the SmackDown Tag Team Titles in a triple threat bout.

In another recent interview, Kofi stated that New Day is coming for all the gold. You can view his comments by clicking here.
