KOPW 2020 Title Participants Set For Summer Struggle In Jingu; Updated Card

The four-way match for the inaugural KOPW Title match is set.

Kazuchika Okada, SANADA, Toru Yano and El Desperado all won their first-round matches for the inaugural KOPW Title on today's Summer Struggle show at Korakuen Hall. They will all face off against each other in a four-way match for the title at Summer Struggle In Jingu on August 29.

Kota Ibushi Believes IWGP World Heavyweight Title Design Will Win People Over In Time

Each of them had to win a match against an opponent under a unique stipulation: Okada defeated Yujiro Takahashi in a handicap match with Gedo and Jado helping out Takahashi, SANADA defeated SHO in a submission match, Yano beat BUSHI in a match where pinfalls go for a two-count and not three and lastly, Desperado defeated Satoshi Kojima in a match where neither man's finishing move was allowed.

Below is the updated card for Summer Struggle in Jingu:

* IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Titles: EVIL (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito

* IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title: Hiromu Takahashi (c) vs. Taiji Ishimori

* KOPW 2020 Title: Kazuchika Okada vs. SANADA vs. Toru Yano vs. El Desperado

* IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Zack Sabre Jr. & Taichi (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi & Kota Ibushi

* NEVER Openweight Title: Shingo Takagi (c) vs. Minoru Suzuki

Once the inaugural titleholder is crowned at Summer Struggle in Jingu, the KOPW title can be defended until the end of the year, with stipulations to be voted on by fans. The winner of the last KOPW 2020 title match of the year will be presented with the KOPW trophy, and the process begins anew in 2021.
