Kurt Angle says Triple H has the best mind for wrestling in the game today.
Angle and Triple H worked together for several years during their careers as in-ring competitors. They battled on a number of occasions, and they also faced off after Angle returned to WWE in 2017. Angle and Ronda Rosey defeated Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a memorable match at WrestleMania 33.
Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked to name who has the best mind for the business today. Likewise, he was asked to name someone from the past. He responded by stating that Triple H, who now works as WWE's Chief Content Officer, has a great mind for the business in a variety of ways. Angle also pointed to Hulk Hogan and noted that he helped make wrestling bigger than it was.
“For me personally, Triple H. He’s always had it. Not just from a wrestling standpoint, but from a creative standpoint, from a psychology standpoint, from a promo standpoint. Triple H is one guy that is well-educated, he loves pro wrestling like it’s his wife [laughs]. He cherishes it, and he’s really good at it. He has a great mind for it. In the past, I would say somebody like Hulk Hogan, who was able to bring the fans in at a time where wrestling was not so hot, but Hulkamania actually made wrestling so much bigger. He has a great mind for the business as well. I worked with Hulk Hogan, and he definitely is well-educated with the wrestling aspect," Angle said.
