Kushida Wants To Bring Interim NXT Cruiserweight Title To July WWE Tour In Japan If It's Still On

If Kushida wins the Interim NXT Cruiserweight title, his goal is to bring it to Japan this summer if possible.

Kushida was named one of eight people that will be competing in a tournament to crown a new interim champion while current champion Jordan Devlin is in the United Kingdom and unable to travel to the United States. Should Kushida win the title, he wants to bring the belt to WWE's upcoming tour in July if that tour doesn't get canceled due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19.

"I think WWE's CW/205 have not enough respect from fans around the world. I will work to change and I will do my best at any situation and environment. CW has more wrestling freedom compared to others so I am looking to PURORESU more wrestlers in WWE brand known.

If I get this title, I want to take it back to homeland for Japan Tour in July. Not sure if the tour will be canceled. Not sure if I win this tournament. But these are two of my wishes. I want to make it happen. With the dark and negative news in the world, this is only thing I can do right now."

WWE's tour in Japan is scheduled to take place on July 2 in Osaka and July 3 and 4 in Yokohama. Wrestling in Japan has been affected due to the coronavirus outbreak, forcing promotions such as NJPW, DDT, Stardom, AJPW and more to cancel shows.
