Kyle Fletcher explains how he handles negative comments about him on social media, noting that strangers do not know him like that.
Fletcher, like many pro wrestlers, has been susceptible of negative and hate comments on social media, but feels that these comments don’t effect him because he ‘knows who he is’.
While speaking to The Knockturnal in a new interview, Kyle Fletcher spoke about receiving negative comments on social media.
“Of course. I think it’s- the main thing is knowing who you are as a person and not letting the opinions of strangers on the internet affect how you view yourself. I think I’m definitely partial to, you know, seeing a negative comment or if like, you know, something comes out and then there’s a bunch of negative comments, it’s hard for sure. It’s a hard thing to read. It’s a hard thing to go through. But I think it comes back to, you know, I know who I am. I know what’s important to me. I know what my values are, and as long as I stay true to that, then nobody, especially people I don’t know- Like, if it’s somebody who who’s opinion, I value and respect and I love them as a person. I will absolutely listen to their negative criticism, but you know, the internet is literally strangers trying to tell me who I am and how I live and like what’s right and wrong, and I don’t think they know- they don’t know me, they don’t know who I am. So once you can make that distinction, it’s, it becomes a lot easier, you know it’s kind of at this point, it’s water off ducks back to me kind of.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Kyle spoke about more PPVs being added to AEW’s schedule. You can read more about that here.
