Kyle Fletcher recalls what the end goal was when he initially got injured earlier this year, noting he wanted to be back in time for All In.
In April earlier this year, Fletcher would suffer a leg injury that would take him out of action until after AEW Double Or Nothing, where he would return to attack Konosuke Takeshita before returning to the ring shortly after. However, when he first got injured, Fletcher only had one concern: making it back in time for AEW All In.
While speaking in his latest ProtoLog, Kyle Fletcher spoke about making it to All In, noting that he had been thinking about competing on the show from the day he got injured.
“All In day. It’s finally here. This felt like a long time coming. I have been thinking about this day since probably the start of my injury. This was kind of always the end goal. It was always like, because I didn’t know how long I was going to be out for, it was thinking about this day and getting back in time for this. That’s normally how it goes, and then it just sneaks up on you and then it’s finally here. It feels like it’s going to be so far away forever, and then lo and behold, here we are. So now it’s just time to do the thing. All the preparation’s got us here. Now we just get to enjoy it. Well, don’t get to enjoy it. I’ll enjoy it after it’s done. Getting my ass beat for a couple minutes probably. But I will also be doing plenty of ass beating, which will be the fun part. It’s time to go do the thing.”
Elsewhere in a recent interview, Fletcher explained why he didn’t have a pink version of the AEW International Title. You can read more about that here.
