Kyle O'Reilly Loses Cage Match, Laid Out By Von Wagner On 12/7 NXT

Kyle O'Reilly had a rough night on Tuesday's NXT.

After thwarting an attack by Von Wagner at NXT WarGames, O'Reilly met his former teammate inside a steel cage on the December 7 episode of NXT.

Not only was O'Reilly defeated in the bout, Wagner added insult to injury by slamming the cage door into O'Reilly's head after the match was over.

In a post-man promo, Wagner said WarGames and O'Reilly are over, but his WarGames is just beginning.

O'Reilly's contract with WWE will reportedly expire this week and as of WarGames, he had not signed a new deal. WWE reportedly offered O'Reilly a multi-year contract. At NXT WarGames, after O'Reilly prevented Wagner's attack, O'Reilly flashed the Undisputed Era sign and said "this is a brotherhood." Roderick Strong remains in NXT as part of Diamond Mine while Adam Cole and Bobby Fish are in AEW.
